Should ED Diagnosis Be Confirmed By Testing Before Sildenafil Is Appointed?

I was prescribed Sildenafil because lately I don’t seem to have a good erection. I’d prefer to take some tests before starting the drug therapy, however, my andrologists said to me that the tests are to be taken only if Sildenafil doesn’t work! Thank you in advance.
