Question:
My husband can last in bed for only two minutes, is it normal?
Answer:
A lot of people turn to me with a similar question, yet giving the exact answer to the question is quite difficult as no single “normal” duration of the sexual intercourse is stated. Different scientists have different opinions on this matter. The American Urology Care Foundation, for example, doesn’t give any exact timing of the ejaculation, which may be called premature. They say that if both partners are satisfied with the duration of their intercourse, it may be called “normal” regardless of the duration.
However, the International Society for Sexual Medicine has another point of view. A “normal” sexual intercourse should last more than one minute after the penetration. Hence, two minutes that your husband can last are absolutely normal here.
According to the survey involving 500 couples, on average sexual intercourse (meaning the time after the penetration to ejaculation) lasts 5.4 minutes. Foreplay is not taken into account, only the frictions period.
In some countries, this figure may be different, like in Turkey – 3.7minutes, yet on the whole, “normal” intercourse lasts from 3 to 8 minutes.
In case you are not satisfied with the speediness of your husband’s ejaculation, you may try several methods to make him last longer:
Hope you’ll find the method, which would be convenient and effective for both you and your husband.
